1. What is aqueous Ozone?
Aqueous ozone also called ozonated water or Liquid ozone or Ozone water Generator or engineering water or ozone dissolved water.It is a green natural cleaner and oxidant,made from ordinary tap water without adding any other ingredients.
Ozone water reacts with bacteria to kill its internal structure and cell walls. it decompose a variety of bacteria, viruses and protozoa, including E. coli and Salmonella, The disinfection speed of ozone is 3000 times faster than ordinary chlorine-containing disinfectants, with 50 times stronger bactericidal ability. It is widely applied for cleaning, sterilizing, sanitizing, and odor removal purpose.
Because of ozonated water’s high oxidation and low stability,it will quickly revert to pure water and oxygen, without any chemical residues. 3. Who uses Ozone to sanitize?
Aqueous Ozone water is approved by the FDA as a disinfectant/sanitizing in municipal water treatment plants and the bottled water industry. The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) has also approved its use as an antimicrobial agent. Food handling, storage and processing facilities use Ozone water has been approved by the FDA and USDA for food handling. The FDA officially approved the use of ozone as an antimicrobial agent for the handling, storage and processing of gaseous and aqueous foods. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA/FSIS) approves the use of ozone to contact meat and poultry, including raw products, freshly cooked and before packaging. In addition to direct food contact, ozone can also be applied to food processing equipment and non-food contact surfaces as part of the sanitation work of food companies.
4. What is TDS of water?
TDS is a measurement of charged ions dissolved in water, it is described in mg/L or ppm. It is not a measure of pollution of water. Generally, if the TDS value is higher the ozone concentration will be higher, Our products only work with tap water which higher than 100mg/L.
5. What do I do when calcium deposits form on the electrodes?
Tap water normally contains calcium carbonate minerals. It will accumulate on the electrodes/ozone plates/ ozone cell and will cause the electrolysis process to slow down. If you found only a few bubbles during ozone generator (or as measured by an ozone concentration/PPM meter),then clean the electrodes,You should clean the electrodes at least once a year as follows, (normally we suggest you clean them every 50 operation hours):
- For cleaning you could use vinegar or citric acid. (at a ratio of 5:1 water to vinegar or 10:1 water to citric acid).
- Put the ozone electrode in for 10 minutes. Do not power up.
- Rinse the electrolytic ozone generator with tap water. After cleaning the electrode, normal production will be restored.
Both these options are safe and do not cause any damage to products.
6. Is using ozone technology safe?
In many countries, ozone has been recognized as a safe disinfectant for hospitals and schools for commercial purposes. Including but not limited to foreign cleaners, disinfection of medical instruments and equipment, cleaner for fresh foods and food preservation.
As a disinfectant and deodorant, it can remove additives, fragrance cleaners, and will not leave detectable things, only oxygen and water. As ozone water is quite natural, when used for cleaning personal protective gloves are not necessary, it will kill bacterial and germs when doing on hands directly.
Since ozone water can replace various cleaning agents, such as glass, stainless steel and other multi-purpose cleaners , it helps to reduce plastic pollution to the earth as well.
7. What type of water can be used in the bottle?
Use normal cold tap water (TDS higher than 70mg/L, heated water is not allowed) with your sanitizing spray bottle. Reverse Osmosis water, distilled or deionized water are not suggested to use, You should never add anything to the water in the reservoir. Any essential oils or other chemicals or substances can interfere with the ozone generator power and damage the internal hardware of the bottle sprayer.
8. What is the difference between cleaning, sanitizing , and disinfecting?
Cleaners will remove pathogens but will not kill them. An example is to wipe off dirty surfaces with a rag. Disinfectants can kill 99.9% of pathogens. An example is spraying a recently cleaned surface with a liquid that can kill 99.9% of bacteria. Disinfectant is a liquid that can kill 99.999% of pathogens.
Aqueous ozone is rated for all three independently and replaces most chemical cleaners for everyday demands.
9. What is the difference between electrolytic Ozone water and salt-based cleaners?
Hocl electrolyzed water generators need salt, it contains chloride, which can be electrolyzed in water to generate hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Chlorine-based sanitize act slower than aqueous ozone and leave a powdery residue, it is composed of hypochlorous acid and sodium hydroxide. Hypochlorous acid is a sanitizer only. A separate cleaner must be used. Importantly it will leave residual with harmful for people, it is not healthy to contact food or skin directly. Aqueous ozone performs both cleaning and sanitizing.
10. How do I know if my spray bottles are working for production of Ozone?
For 300ml stabilized ozone spray generator,( stabilizing the ozone is used for devices that make aqueous ozone in advance of its use) it has 03 different operation functions(90/180/270 seconds) as long as we press the trigger it will start to spray.
For 280ml ozone sprayer bottle. When you press the trigger, blue lights turn on in the top side and show the ozone sprayer generator is working(ozone on-demand)
11. Can Ozonated water replace all cleaners?
Ozone water is a degreasing agent, a common cleaner, a super disinfectant, and a deodorant, It is very suitable for killing bacteria and general household cleaning.Ozonated water can replace most cleaning products. However, ozonated water does not remove baked-on grease and grime that requires special cleaners and abrasion.
12. What does ozone gas smell like?
Ozone smells fresh, like the smell of grass.
13. On what surfaces is ozonated water effective?
